My brother, Mike and his girlfriend Maggie came to visit Calgary! After a small detour in Bismarck, North Dakota due to mechanical issues with their plane, they finally arrived in Calgary (a mere 5 hours late). For the first night of their trip, we went to a Calgary Flames game. Although our seats were in the VERY high press section, we had a nice view of the game. It was a little scary for Maggie, who is afraid of heights, but once safely in her seat, she was fine. When we arrived, we found out that it was "western night" so most fans were decked out in cowboy hats and in-between plays we were serenaded with country music and fiddle-playing! Matt especially enjoyed the country music and it made us feel right at home. The flames unfortunately lost, but we still had a great time.
